HSE provides many different opportunities for members to broaden their horizons and to become an active member of the community.
Company Tours
Members have the opportunity to get an exclusive glimpse into the heart and soul of an entrepreneur’s operations. As members are guided through the premises, they’ll discover the passion, dedication, and innovation that drive success.
During the Sprig 2023 Semester, member had the opportunity to visit Pō’ai by Pono Potions, a Coffee Shop in Downtown Honolulu. The owner and HSE alumnus, Peter, shared his entrepreneurial journey and day to day operations of his business.
Workshops
Workshops foster a supportive and inclusive environment, encouraging members to share their ideas, challenges, and aspirations. Members have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, forming a network of peers who can provide guidance, support, and potential partnerships for future endeavors.
Members in the image to the left are generating ideas for HSE’s mini pitch competition. The groups generate an idea and pitch their idea to the Executive Board, like the popular show, Shark Tank. Overall this activity provides some friendly competition and an opportunity to win some cool prizes.
Speakers
Members hear firsthand accounts of the speakers’ entrepreneurial journeys, including the challenges they faced, the lessons they learned, and the pivotal moments that shaped their success. They’ll provide valuable insights into various aspects of entrepreneurship, such as ideation, market research, branding, scaling, and leadership.
CEO and HSE alumnus, Rose Wong spoke about her jewelry business, Kolohe during the Spring 2023 Semester. She shared her experiences of being the President of HSE and her journey of being a business owner. She now has 2 stores open in Waikiki!
Founder's Mixer
The Founder’s Mixer brings together a diverse group of entrepreneurs, professionals, investors, and industry experts from various sectors. Whether you’re a seasoned entrepreneur, a budding startup founder, or simply someone interested in entrepreneurship, this event provides a platform for collaboration, inspiration, and growth.
Members have the chance to learn from and connect with successful entrepreneurs who have made significant achievements in their fields. These individuals may serve as guest speakers, panelists, or mentors, offering valuable insights, advice, and inspiration.
Monday Markets
This open-air market is a hub of activity, where members come together to showcase their unique products, engage with the community, and create a memorable shopping experience.
Monday Markets create a platform for small business owners to directly interact with customers. Customers have the opportunity to meet the passionate entrepreneurs behind the stalls, who are eager to share their stories, expertise, and the inspiration behind their products. This personal connection adds a special touch to the shopping experience, making it more meaningful and memorable.
